• Register your organisation’s volunteering opportunities
  
• Enter opportunities on the national volunteering website, www.do-it.org.uk
  
• Tell new volunteers about your opportunities
  
• Advertise the opportunities on local notice boards, and with the local press
  
• Supply your organisation’s information leaflets and application forms to volunteers
  
• Help volunteers complete and send off CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) clearance forms
  
• Arrange for volunteers to visit your organisation for an informal chat
  
• Help your organisation develop new volunteering opportunities
  
• Offer help and advice about good practice
